FAQs Business Insurance

Frequently asked questions.

Answering this question is not straightforward, as valuation tends to be a subjective matter with numerous variables that are challenging to standardize. Different experts may provide varying valuations for the same business due to the subjective nature of the process. Nevertheless, there are specific features we can consider getting a rough estimate of our business's worth. Firstly, the square meter area plays a crucial role, providing a tangible and realistic measure of the business's physical size. This encompasses every structural element, including offices, workshops, studios, laboratories, and more. The direct correlation between area size and local square meter prices aids in determining the monetary value of the business. Additionally, the location within a particular neighbourhood or district can impact the overall price. Tangible assets, such as machinery, raw materials, and movable assets, also contribute to the valuation. These can be assessed based on their monetary value, considering factors like age, condition, and usage. Moving beyond the physical aspects, the evaluation of the business itself involves considering various factors. When valuing based on sales, predictions of annual sales are crucial to estimate the business's earnings for the current year. This calculation considers factors like the type of commerce, associated risks, and specific company details. Similarly, a business's valuation based on profits considers the stream of benefits it generates. Typically, assessing results over multiple years is necessary to determine the overall worth of the business. Abstract dimensions, such as potential growth and market position, also influence the business's value. Buyers may use potential disadvantages as negotiation points, highlighting the importance of being aware of these factors in advance. In summary, a thorough examination of the business is essential for gaining an approximate understanding of its value.
